A lot of us connect to our masculine energy well.

We were either a tomboy at a young age, have learned to be masculine through work efforts, or some of us just always felt the want and need to show everyone that women can do it too (if not better) than men.

Yet, barely anyone shows us what true divine feminine energy is these days.

 

How do we live it day to day?

How do we apply it to our work and our business?

How do we apply it to our relationships?

What is the Red Tent?


Many moons ago, women gathered in sisterhood in a sacred circle in a Red Tent each and every month around the New Moon.


Connecting to the rhythms of the lunar cycles and their menstrual cycles,  

Red Tents were an ancient place to come together during the New Moon to create a sacred space where women can bleed in peace, feed their souls, and share insights & knowledge.

 

Now, in our time, since the birth of the Red Tent Movement in 2006, we have opened up Red Tents to have a modern-day twist that will be a space throughout the month, during all cyclical phases, where you will always have a voice and be supported through our sisterhood as the Goddess you are.

What is Divine Feminine and Why Is It Important?

Are you craving for a more natural, spiritual, and balanced life and/or are seeking to go deeper within yourself? Then, The Divine Feminine holds the answer. 

 

But what is the Divine Feminine anyway?

And why is it important?

 

The divine feminine means a re-claiming and practice of ancient knowledge that used to be mainstream. This knowledge includes Tantra, Taoism, Shamanism, and many other bodies of ancient wisdom. 

 

In order to understand the Divine Feminine, we must first understand creation and consciousness. The primal forces of creation are the masculine and feminine principles, or yang and yin. In Taoist philosophy, there’s a belief that our world has an organizing principle. After this creative force appears, everything else takes the form of opposing forces: heaven and earth, black and white, day and night, good and evil. These are the ideas of the yang and the yin, of the masculine and feminine. 

 

We clearly see this in nature. Winter and summer, spring and fall, life and death, hard and soft, high and low tide are all signs that clearly point to the hidden processes of nature. With deeper observation, it becomes apparent that, as part of nature, human beings are subject to these basic laws as well.

 

These 2 seemingly opposite qualities are not opposites, they work together and dance with each other. They form the quality of the whole of consciousness. There is an internal feminine manifestation and an external masculine manifestation of consciousness. Both men and women possess these qualities.

 

The main differences between the two are, male energy is direct, like a straight line. It projects outward, it secures and has a giving nature. Female Energy is cyclic, like a circle. It’s directed inward, it nurtures and has a receiving nature. When they both work together, they dance and form a spiral, moving upwards, thriving, and growing. 

 

Essentially,  the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine are another way of labeling the energies of “Receiving” vs “Giving”, “Being” vs “Doing”, “Allowing” vs “Acting”. *

 

Yin is the internal feminine, passive, intuitive, compassionate, submissive, associated with the right brain. Feminine traits such as empathy, vulnerability, humility, patience, collaboration, inclusiveness, creativity, nurturing, and sharing. Yin consciousness is lunar, associated with the moon symbolically, the night and directly related to our emotions. 

 

When we look into the dictionary, we find that the definition of divine means

“of, from, or like God or a god”. And Feminine, among many other definitions, is "the embodiment or conception of a timeless or idealized feminine nature". So we can say that Divine Feminine is the Godly embodiment of our feminine nature. 

 

The Divine Feminine is the Earth, the Goddess, the feminine counterpart and equal AND life-giver to the Divine Masculine (who in turn sustains her). Divine Feminine Energy manifests in a thousand ways across the Globe (and beyond) as Goddesses.

All of these Divine Feminine archetypes embody this sacred energy.

 

For thousands of years, we have been collectively (and individually) tapped into our masculine energy – to the extreme. We have allowed it to dominate our own existence, which has influenced the way the human race responds to life. As a result, life as we know it is completely out of balance. If you look around, you’ll quickly realize that we live in a patriarchal world.

 

God is referred to as “Him.” Most CEOS and business owners are men. Men dominate politics and leadership. Women are paid less than men. The list is endless. Thankfully that is changing, and at this stage of our evolution, humanity is recognizing the value of the Divine Feminine and shifting towards a new world order.

 

The future of humanity depends on our ability to embrace our wholeness so we can regain balance. We must reclaim our feminine nature in order to restore balance within ourselves and the whole. 

 

We can all tap into our Divine Feminine nature. When you do, you will awaken to new possibilities and birth a greater level of creativity in your life. By channeling and activate your inner goddess archetype, your relationships will become more loving and nurturing. You will feel empowered to take your life to a new level. You will experience a deeper sense of personal freedom and self-love. 

 

When you tap into your Divine Feminine or Shakti, you can experience:

 

• More energy and vitality

• A greater sense of clarity and open-mindedness.  

• Ability to relax more deeply.

• Ability to face stress with compassion and courage

• An outer glow

• Ability to digest food and life experiences more easily. 

• Deeper sensual connection with yourself and your partner. 

• A heightened creativity and flow of new ideas among many benefits. 

 

The woman that embodies this energy is magnetic and able to attract everything she wants knowing that it’s the energy of co-creation and manifestation.

 

Therefore, the Divine Feminine is a means of allowing ancient wisdom into day-to-day life to gain awareness and a deeper connection and understanding of ourselves.  It also gives us the tools to allow ourselves to become vulnerable, receptive, and open. 

 

When you connect to the true essence of who you are, innocence, purity, love, and divine knowing, you trust your intuition and you allow the Universe to support you on your soul path simply because of who you are BEING. 

 

By doing nothing, you do so much more – this is the main principle and gift of this energy. And with this, comes ease and grace. 

 

Red Tent gatherings offer exquisite opportunities to tap into your divine feminine nature. By coming together with other women during the new moon in a sacred space of collaboration, nurturing, and support, you are able to relax and allow your innate wisdom to shine through.

What is Cyclical Living & Why Is It Important?

What makes women different from men?

 

Physically:

​

We have curves, hips, breasts, normally tinier feet, and, oh yeah, we give birth. We create life from our wombs. This means we also have a menstrual cycle and live more in a 28-day cycle.

 

Mentally:

​

Our brains are wired differently. Women are prone to think about safety more often and protecting the young. Our brains are also wired to multi-task and, at the same time, have shiny syndrome or fruit stand syndrome. It's also easier for us to adapt in general which also means its easier for us to lose ourselves and care about what other people think of us more. We are also wired to talk and communicate more. Our ancestors would work with a tribe of women to co-create and pass down traditional stories shared in the tribe to the next generation. We would also get berries from the wilderness together and would communicate with each other while walking to scare off any animals.

 

Emotionally:

​

We are connected. We are connected more to our feelings, to the spiritual realm, our intuitive gifts, and nature in general. This means that, yes, we can cry more, but we also cry more but we can also talk and feel Spirit easier in ALL things. The tree, the soil, the rock, the sky, and each other.

 

So, after all, this, what if I told you that you had ONE main feminine advantage that has been forgotten throughout the ages?

 

What if I told you that this feminine advantage would empower you, create longer-lasting results, connect you to earth, enhance your creativity, spirituality, problem-solving, relationships, energy throughout the month, your focus, and sexual desires and needs? Just to name a few.

 

Yet, in the last three thousand years, we have been taught to look at this feminine advantage as a nuisance. As an inconvenience in our day to day life instead of seeing the absolute power, it can bring into you and your life when used correctly.

 

I am talking about... your menstrual cycle.

 

Unlike men, we have a natural cyclical "clock" within us that throughout an average of 28 days, our emotions, mentality, and physicality can change.

 

What's even crazier is that our ancestors knew how to measure this feminine advantage throughout your menstrual cycle phases and use them to help plan, take action, come up with great ideas, rest when needed, and review their past cycle.

 

Somehow, we have forgotten this feminine advantage and been labeled as "unpredictable." We have been forced into a linear structure and told that our mentality and emotions must be the same every day when we are actually cyclical beings and changes in mood and mentality are extremely normal for every woman.

 

You see, as mentioned earlier, women are wired differently.

 

Men are known to be 80% circadian 20% infradian. Women are 80% infradian, 20% circadian and both of us are being told to live 100% circadian causing overwhelm, overburdened, overstressed, and overworked.

 

Circadian Rhythm is the 24-hour clock. The way your day goes from energy level, hormone secretions, body temperature, blood pressure, etc.

 

Infradian Rhythm is any rhythm above 24 hours such as a 28-day cycle like your menstrual and moon cycle. Our ancestors thrived while being aware of this second clock and lived their lives surrounding these cycles. They realized this rhythm is a source to create more emotional, mental, physical, sexual, creative, and spiritual energy in their day to day lives. When they realized the importance of syncing their eating habits and exercises with their hormonal shifts they also found a Feminine Advantage that could make them feel amazing all month long. 

 

This experience is called Cyclical Living and women all around the world are starting to remember the power of working WITH their menstrual & moon cycles instead of AGAINST it.

How do you prepare for the New Moon Events?

​​

  • The format of the New Moon Event is similar every month to facilitate the deepening of our spiritual practice. Although the format is similar, the content will vary. Every month we will dive deeper into an aspect of the Divine Feminine guided by the Moon. The Items required for the New Moon Event will be posted on the Forum and WhatsApp Group prior to the event.

    Day of Preparation

    Prepare Your Red Tent Space:
     

  • When you think about Red Tent Gatherings, think about honoring your Inner Goddess, your Divinity. This is a time for you to connect with your hidden sacred nature. Give it to yourself. Dress up and take time to prepare ceremonially for our coming together. 

  • Choose a comfortable place where you will tune into the online Red Tent gathering.

  •  Play music that helps you connect with your inner goddess.
    Here’s a beautiful playlist that we have put together.
     

  •  Burn sage and turn on a salt lamp for low-lit ambiance and prepare to gather your sacred items. 
     

  • Wear red in honor of the Red Tent Movement.  Wear a pretty dress, a red top, a scarf, a red piece of fabric for your altar, or red accessories.
    Have fun dressing up your inner goddess. 
     

  • Be on time. We kindly ask that you be ready to go at 7 PM EST in your designated space.  Pre-set up your water kettle, filled with water ready to go.  
     

  • Let go of expectation. We invite you to be open, and ask that you be willing to release expectations, and trust that the night will provide exactly what is needed for all.


    Items needed for the New Moon Intention Setting Ritual:
     

  • Unlit Candle and a lighter or matches.
    • Journal + pen + colorful pens
    • A blank piece of paper. 
    • Incense/sage.
    • Crystals: (Suggested for the new moon: moonstone, labradorite, amazonite, selenite, smoky quartz, obsidian, peacock ore, citrine, clear quartz).
    • A bowl of water with salt. (Preferably water from a natural source, such as rainwater or from a local stream or beach).
    • A plant or some fresh flowers in a vase

    Tea Preparation:

    a) Select- your Tea - can be pu-erh, black, green, oolong or herbal. Preferably, choose leaf loose teas that are responsibly and sustainably sourced.
    b) Gather your Utensils- choose your bowl or cup, your spoon or whisk. Lay them out.
    c) Prepare Your Water- spring water preferably, poured into your kettle.
    d) Have your kettle ready at the beginning of the circle. We do a special invocation at the beginning with your teacup. 

    Post Gathering Rituals:

    We recommend pulling an Oracle Card to receive divine guidance when the gathering is over. You can ask: What should I cultivate or start in this moon cycle?
    What card will be my guide for this cycle? Journal the insights.
     

  •  Be in water. The moon rules water, and water is a symbolic way of washing away the old so that we can welcome the new. We recommend you immerse yourself into a goddess bath after our gathering using water safe crystals, Epson Salt, essential oils, candles, or rose petals. 
     

  • Below is a partial list of water safe and NOT water safe Crystals for your reference.

  • Amethyst

  • Smokey Quartz

  • Carnelian (though NOT safe in saltwater)

  • Black Obsidian (FYI: can break in EXTREME cold or hot water temperatures)

  • Fluorite (especially SALT water)

  • Selenite

  • Opal (although Australian Boulder Opal is generally safe, because it not porous)

  • Azurite

  • Labradorite (I've safely placed Labradorite in water in short bursts and it was fine,
    but do not count on my experience being the norm)

  • Many of the crystals on the unsafe list will completely dissolve when place in water or they will lose their shine. Either way, play it safe when it comes to these minerals and ALWAYS DYOR (do your own research).

Journey Through Each Female Archetype

What are the archetypes and how will this help my divine feminine practice?

 

Throughout a woman's life, she will go through four main phases: Maiden, Mother, Enchantress, and Crone. Throughout the menstrual and moon cycles, we will also go through these exact four main phases. These phases are always within and around us and can be tapped into at whatever time we wish throughout our life - there are specific times that are easier to tap into them compared to others:

 

Maiden

Woman’s Phase:

Around Puberty to her mid 20’s

Each of these phases has something to teach us or remind us. Whether it is the Maiden’s independent state, the Mother's love & healing, the Enchantress’s mystery, or the Crone’s wisdom. 

 

During your membership with the Red Tent Goddess Sisterhood, you will have the opportunity to go through each of these phases (no matter where you are in life) one by one.

 

When all four of these Archetypal Stages are completed by you, you will have the title of “Goddess.”

 

ALL of us have an inner Goddess within us. The key here is to learn how to bring out your inner Goddess throughout your life whenever needed. 

 

Some qualities of the Goddess:


She can tap into all four phases whenever needed, has a Divine Marriage between her Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine energy within, has a good balance within her life, cares deeply for everyone and everyone, connected to the Earth, makes her life a work of art, always willing to learn and grow more, knows when to start anew and when to let things go, knows how to tap into her sexual/creative energy, doesn’t allow other people to bring her down, knows her own strength, celebrates every woman’s success as if it’s her own, is not afraid to ask for what she needs wants, is authentically herself 100% of the time, doesn’t waste time comparing or judging herself or others, understands her body is a temple, knows how to activate her womb, and knows her menstrual cycle is her feminine advantage.

Each phase in the membership has specific requirements to move forward from them. 


 

Maiden

Requirements:

1. Joins the Membership (done!)

2. Join “The Maiden’s Journey” or "Red Tent Goddess Initiation" (both are free).

3. Create your Goddess Title & check out the New Earth Vision we are all creating together in the sisterhood (and add it to this Google Sheet)

Mother

Requirements:

  1. Part of Red Tent Goddess Sisterhood for 3+ months

  2. Does at least 1 Masterclass in the Red Tent Goddess Sisterhood

  3. Shares 5+ creative posts in the Goddess Library 

 

Enchantress

Requirements:

  1. Part of Red Tent Goddess Sisterhood for 6+ months

  2. Joins the Enchantress Program in the Red Tent Goddess Academy or joins the Goddess Embodiment Inner Circle for 3+ months

  3.  Shares her knowledge as a course or service in Red Tent Goddess OR Shares her knowledge in 15+ creative posts in the Goddess Library

 

Matron

Requirements:

  1. Has been in the Red Tent Goddess Sisterhood for 9+ months 

  2. Has done at least 3+ masterclasses in the sisterhood

  3. Has shared her knowledge as a course or service in Red Tent Goddess and has helped 5+ sisters OR has stepped up as a facilitator for a New or Full moon event in Red Tent Goddess

  4. Joins the Priestess Program in the Red Tent Goddess Academy or Red Tent Coven (coming soon) for 3+ months

 

Goddess

Requirements:

  1. Participates in the Membership for at least a year and a day

  2. Has completed all requirements in Maiden, Mother, Enchantress, and Matron

  3. Has embodied her own Goddess Title & feels confident within herself

  2. The WhatsApp Group is a place to connect to your fellow sisters quickly and easily and to be reminded of big events coming up

  3. The Wix Red Tent Goddess Sisterhood App is a way for you to add all events, check the forum, and our group for more information

  4. Enjoy the support of an Accountability Sister. After joining the membership, you will be assigned an Accountability Sister to connect with for the duration of one journey. (3-months). After 3 months, you will be assigned another sister.
