About the Event
As we enter the shadow season, a time to go inward as the winter season approaches is a good opportunity to do shadow work to reconnect and release the aspects of ourselves that we repress and deny. Perhaps you have been carrying sadness, grief, fear, anger, frustration, and have not given yourself an opportunity to release these unwanted feelings. As women, we are taught to keep strong emotions to ourselves, to repress and deny our anger, to be polite, to “take it,” to remain silent.
These feelings fester up within us and can come out at times of trigger and frustration causing unnecessary harm to those around us. You can especially notice it right before your bleed time.
One of the Goddesses that we can work with to help us transmute anything we are ready to let go of, is the powerful Egyptian Goddess Sekhmet. Sekhmet is the lion-headed solar goddess of the Egyptian pantheon. Sekhmet is also called “Nesert” meaning Flame, 🔥 fire as a destroying element that transforms.
The name Sekhmet comes from Sekhem, which means strong, mighty, and powerful.
There are many reasons you might choose to work with the energies and powers of Sekhmet.
Here are but a few:
🔥 Dealing with anger, fury, rage, sadness
🔥 Dealing with depression
🔥 Developing willpower, strength, courage
🔥 Increasing assertive behavior, standing up to people, creating boundaries
In this 90-min class, you will be initiated into the Egyptian Goddess Sekhmet, learn about her, receive an activation, be guided through exercises and practices to connect to the solar kundalini energy of the Goddess Sekhmet, and be guided through a releasing ritual you will be able to use anytime you desire to transmute feelings and emotions.
This class will meet online midday on a Sunday. After the intro, we will go outside into a sunny spot, and then we will move indoors to complete the ritual. If you are not able to step outside, you can be by a window.
