About the Event

Introduction to Red Tent Kids - Join us Free on December 8th for NO JUDGMENT (CIJ#2) A voice in your head workshop by Creative Insight Journey for Kids, Insight For Life. Children will learn to discern when their inner critic is interfering. They will give a name to their inner voices and create puppets to remind them they can always choose to listen to their inner cheerleader/superhero.

What is Red Tent Kids?

Red Tent Goddess Academy is expanding to children.  Adults in the care of Starseed children know they have special abilities to love, bring peace, and understand metaphysical qualities that others may not allow in their reality.  We are dedicated to teach our children those difficult topics that are unavailable in regular schools, and to support their parents in expanding their children's awareness.

The program membership will include a monthly children's workshop on spiritual or self-love topics, a Facebook support group for guardians, a monthly pijama party via Zoom to apply what we learned in the workshop, and random events throughout the year.  For parents who wish to bring the children only to specific events, the choice exists to pay each workshop separately.

What you can expect from each of our workshops:

The children can always expect the same beginning and end at every class, regardless of the teacher. During the first 10 minutes, they draw or journal about whatever has made them unhappy, angry, or disappointed in the last days, tare it up in pieces, do a breathwork technique, close their eyes to say a mantra, and select an intention for the month.

The teacher for the day will introduce herself, ask questions to hear their background knowledge on what she will deliver, and teach for 10 - 15 minutes.

There is at least one activity, and sometimes we will expand on the teachings with another activity.  At closing, the teacher will tell the kids what's coming up on the next workshop, and when we are doing other events in that month. The workshop ends with the children unanimously saying "Red Tent Kids!".

For December:

"Villain and Super Hero Self-Talk", in December, by Elaine Timmerman.  Week two of the Creative Insight Journey (CIJ) for Kids developed by Stanford University.  This class shows children how they have a voice of judgment and a voice of wisdom inside, and they get to choose which one to listen to.  The kids will give a name to their voices, and create a puppet.

Materials Needed:

 -Two large popsicle sticks

- Two paper plates or Four blank sheets of paper

- Glue

- Colors

- Scissors if you're using papers.  Not needed if using paper plates to make the puppets.

We reserve the right to change the teacher or the workshop up to the last minute, as necessary.  We will always do our best to keep the schedule as we present it to you.  There are many teachers certified to teach the CIJ program.

Who are the teachers?

All our teachers are certified spiritual life coaches, Reiki practitioners, and have a background in teaching children.  The teacher's biography is e-mailed prior to each class.

When will the classes be scheduled?

Workshops are scheduled the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm EST.
